Small, but sweet
The Wulfenia is a small, intimate family hotel that consists of 24 beds and a total of 11 rooms. It is located in the Montafon’s highest ski resort, namely Gargellen.
The name “Wulfenia” originates in Carinthia. It is only here and in the Himalaya that this rare, blue flower will grow.
In the 1960s hostess Brigitte came to the Montafon and together with her husband Helmut they founded the lovely bed and breakfast hotel they baptised “Wulfenia”.
Our guest house is situated in a calm, but central part of Gargellen. The ski lifts are at a stone’s throw, and due to Gargellen’s high location our guest house can easily be reached by ski or snow board all winter, as it is guaranteed to have snow!
The centre of Gargellen is also just a minute away from our guest house, by foot that is!
Food at the Wulfenia is a memorable experience and likely to be one of the chief delights of your stay with us. Six times a week we prepare a gourmet meal for you, inspired by both Austrian as well as international dishes. We make use of local products and herbs we grow ourselves

Your host Helmut (educated ski instructor), will be more than willing to inform you about everything you wish to know about winter sports! Our summer guests will find our tips for great hiking tracks very helpful as well…

The guest house with a heart for children

We are happy to also welcome our small guests at the Wulfenia. We have generously furnished family suites, a wonderful playroom, as well as child friendly menus to ensure your children will feel at home with us.
During the winter, both the ski school and the children’s ski world can be reached by foot.
During the summer, all children are offered the opportunity to participate in the “Gargellen Fun Club” 6 times a week, and free of costs! For further info, please click
